Your knowledge, experience and vision could help build our strong and vibrant charity
Citizens Advice Wandsworth (CAW) is a local charity dedicated to serving the people of the London Borough of Wandsworth by providing them with advice and information. We are looking to recruit up to three new people to join our trustee board.
CAW is a well-respected part of the Citizens Advice network: we operate from two centres in Battersea and Roehampton, and have a strong working relationship with the local authority and other local agencies. We also have number of valuable contracts with other organisations such as Macmillan, the local NHS and registered social landlords, plus funding from the Big Lottery Fund and other charitable foundations. Our income has grown from £825,000 in 2013/14 to over £1.2 million in 2017/18. Our service delivery outputs and outcomes have grown proportionately. Last year we helped over 12,500 people.
We are keen to ensure that the Board is reflective of the local community, with some lived experience of the welfare issues our service deals with daily. We also wish to appoint Trustees with finance and accounting skills and experience and human resources/personnel professional knowledge and experience as these are two areas we are keen to further strengthen.
These are voluntary positions. All reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
We encourage applications from all applicants who meet the person specification irrespective of sex, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, race, religion or belief, age, or disability.
To express interest in trusteeship, please download the information below, complete the application form and the diversity monitoring form. The closing date for expressions of interest in the role is 5pm on Friday 27th October 2017.
