Fraught shoppers will soon be able to seek refuge inside one of the British high-street’s most iconic stores as Marks & Spencer has announced it will launch mental health “talk-ins” in a number of its cafés around the country.

The Frazzled Cafes project, which is fronted by comedian and mental health awareness campaigner Ruby Wax, aims to provide a safe place for people to come and share their stories anonymously. After the idea was trialled in M&S offices and stores last year, the company is now introducing fortnightly sessions which will be led by trained volunteers after the restaurants have closed.
