Healing Our Broken Village: Social factors that affect mental health

Our 8th Black Mental Health Conference and Black History Exhibition

The focus this year is on raising issues of social and interpersonal dynamics that are often overlooked yet have an impact on the health and wellbeing of ‘black’ people in Britain.

Guest speakers include:

David Bradley – CEO South West London and St. Georges NHS Trust

Bishop Delroy Powell and Rachel Rose Burrell – The black majority church and how faith impacts mental health and well being

Dr. Frank Keating – Royal Holloway University of London – Socially orientated approaches to recovery for African and Caribbean men

T.I.A – A short performance exploring black women and mental health

TIME:

12pm – Black History Exhibition
2:30pm – Conference Registration
3pm – Conference start
7:30pm – Conference close followed by a shared meal
