Tuesday 27th June 2017 from 5.45pm – 7pm at Battersea Library, 265 Lavender Hill SW11 1JB for the launch of an important new report on disability benefit advice needs in Wandsworth.
Citizens Advice Wandsworth’s Disability and Social Care Advice Service (DASCAS) has undertaken research with the help of a Wandsworth Council small grant to identify the barriers disabled people face in accessing benefits. The findings give an interesting insight into some of the typical challenges that disabled people experience.
The event will present the report and showcase the work of the DASCAS team, with the launch of a new short film.
If you would like to attend, please register now!
Light refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you.
Important changes to DASCAS service arrangements:
From Monday June 5th DASCAS will provide telephone access from 10am-12pm Monday-Friday on 020 7978 7306. This change is necessary to increase service efficiency and better cope with increasing demand.
Wandsworth residents who need assistance outside of these times may telephone the Citizen Advice Wandsworth (CAW) Adviceline on 0300 330 1169 (10am and 4pm, Monday-Friday), or drop into one of CAW’s centres in Clapham Junction or Roehampton. They will be assessed, and given initial information and support by the CAW team, and when necessary they will be referred internally for a DASCAS appointment.
Wandsworth residents can continue to be referred for DASCAS support via the DASCAS page on the CAW website.
