We will be holding our next meeting of the Churches Network for Care and Prevention on Thursday 9th February 10am to 1pm at Balham Baptist Church 21 Ramsden Road, London SW12 8QX.
This meeting will be focused around getting to know each other and starting conversations around the areas that affect the church community in Wandsworth. I want to keep this meeting open and without too rigid a structure, but have taken the opportunity to invite some guests who will be able to speak about some of the current initiatives that are underway:
- Bishop Delroy Powell of New Testament Assembly Tooting who has completed the Family Therapy course, gone on to progress to the Masters Course and will speak to us about the Family Therapy 2 year accredited course on offer.
- Amrinder Sehgal, Self-Management Service Manager at Wandsworth CCG, to speak about self management programmes and how the CCG engage with the co production process
- Darren Fernandes, Senior Relationship Manager at SWLSTG Mental Health Trust, to speak on the success of the Mental Health Trust working with current WCEN Networks.
- Malik Gul, Director of the Wandsworth Community Empowerment Network to speak more about our ways of working and the potential for the Church Network for Care and Prevention.
The meeting will then culminate in a shared lunch where we will be able to continue conversations. We will wrap up by 1pm.
I you are a member of a church community and are able to attend the event then please I would appreciate it if you are able to RSVP so I can get a sense of numbers for the catering. Please feel free to invite anyone you feel may be interested in the event.
