The first cohort for the Advice First Aid training programme took place in June (3 sessions on 13th, 20th and 27th June).
The training was be delivered by Citizens Advice Wandsworth at Battersea Library
This training programme sought to equip our partner’s staff and volunteers with the knowledge and skills to provide information and refer people who are facing hardship and crisis to appropriate local services. The training covered an introduction to areas including benefits, debt and housing, as well as communication skills and available resources.
Following the June training programme, Advice First Aiders will be invited to regular meetings where they can share their experiences and challenges and receive further training from Citizens Advice Wandsworth and other organisations. Therefore, we ask that trainees are committed to participating in the programme after the initial training in June.
